Free Meditation Classes in Victoria

Updated

Welcome! This site gives information about meditation classes offered by the Sri Chinmoy Centre of Victoria.

The Victoria centre was established July 3, 1973 for spiritual seekers who wish to follow the teachings of Sri Chinmoy. Since that time many people have come to our free classes and workshops to learn how to meditate–the key to living a richer, more-fulfilling, peaceful life.

1931 - 2007

Sri Chinmoy called himself “a student of peace”. He freely offered his inspiration through meditations, talks, poetry, music, art, concerts and sports. He believed that spirituality is everyone’s birthright, and that there should be no charge for such teaching.

Some people come to our classes to learn how to meditate, others come to deepen their meditation, or to get it back on track, and some come out of curiosity. Whatever your motivation, we wholeheartedly invite you to join us for a class series.

Next series of classes:

Our instructor, Prachar Stegemann, from Canberra, Australia, has been dedicated to sharing Sri Chinmoy’s teachings with seekers around the world for over 40 years. In 2024, he will be offering meditation classes in 50 countries.

Join us for a two-day course at the St. Ann’s Academy Chapel, 835 Humboldt St., Victoria, on Monday and Tuesday, October 21-22, 2024 from 6:15 pm to 7:45 pm. The course is designed to be consecutive, so we encourage you to attend both sessions for maximum benefit. After the second session, you’ll have an opportunity for a follow-up.
